Greenhouse Cafe Siargao

Greenhouse Cafe Siargao

It’s not hard to locate Greenhouse Cafe in Siargao as it sits quietly along the Tourism Road. It’s one of those food spots that may seem intimidating at first for its quaint yet fancy vibe.

But when you get the hang of its modern nipa-hut interior, you’d think that it would make a great cafe for a romantic brunch or an afternoon with your book.

I went here alone around 10 AM so I had that brunch feels (plus there were two couples dining at the time).

What to try at Greenhouse Cafe Siargao

Being the crowd favorite, I tried their Same Same, But Different (PHP 300). The serving particularly surprised me because it was huge—I think up to two small people can share this one.

It’s made with French baguette, bacon, sunny-side-up egg, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. It’s slightly spicy, which I think comes from the homemade garlic aioli, while the tomatoes give off a sour aftertaste.

The baguette is prepared just right for me—a bit toasted on the sides but soft overall. Hands down on how the bacon is prepared crispy, too.

I also tried their best-selling Coconut Cold Brew (PHP 120), which easily made it a great pair to my meal. It’s served with a small glass of extra thick coconut milk if you want a creamier finish.

Not sure if the coconut milk is supposed to melt all over because mine just had that marbleized effect.

I was SOO full after finishing everything that I spent the whole afternoon sleeping back at my hostel (I stayed in Lampara Siargao). Guess the caffeine from their cold brew didn’t work, hah!
